Last updated: 8 October 2026

This notice covers the AskTheMove beta waitlist on this website. AskTheMove is run by Prax, an independent developer in India (“we”). If you have a question, email [email protected].

What we collect

  • Your email address, which you type into the waitlist form.
  • Your optional answer to “Roughly what’s your rating?”, if you choose one.
  • How you found us: the form you used, campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and the page that referred you, if your browser shares it.
  • When you joined and when you gave consent.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, made with a secret salt, used only to limit repeated sign-ups and abuse. It is kept in short-lived counters, never with your email address, and we never store your IP address itself.

This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking scripts.

Why we collect it

To email you about the AskTheMove beta, including your invite, and to understand roughly which players are interested. We use your email only for this. We process it because you consent by ticking the box on the form.

Where it is stored

In a Cloudflare D1 database that belongs to AskTheMove. Cloudflare hosts this website and the database and may process data outside India. When we send email, we will use an email provider to deliver it.

How long we keep it

Your sign-up is kept until the beta ends, or sooner if you ask us to delete it. The rate-limit counters that hold hashed IPs are deleted by the first sign-up that arrives after they are a day old.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe using the link in any email, or by replying to it.
  • See, correct or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. We will act on the request within 30 days.
  • Withdraw consent at any time in the same way. Withdrawing it does not affect anything done before.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

We aim to handle your personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: we collect only what the waitlist needs, use it only for the purpose stated here, keep it safe, and respect your rights to access, correct and erase it and to withdraw consent. If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, email us first; you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is accepting complaints.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers.

Children

The waitlist is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please do not sign up.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell people on the waitlist by email.
